Llewaylyn ‘Lyn’ Lanier, Sr.

Academy Director & Founder

Mr. Lanier is a retired Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Officer, a former certified Public Safety Officer, a former juvenile detention facility Special Education instructor, a licensed minister, and a U.S. Army veteran with experience as a Commissioned Officer, Airborne paratrooper, Communications-Electronics Officer, Personnel Clerk, and enlisted soldier. Mr. Lanier earned an Associate of Science Degree from Utah Technical College in Saint George, Utah. He later attended Utah State University, the University of Utah, and the University of South Alabama. He graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School, Prichard, AL, and is a native of Mobile, Alabama.

Aisha Drake is a remarkable individual whose life has been defined by service, leadership, and motivation. As a Veteran of the United States Army, she demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to her country, serving with honor and distinction.

Beyond her military career, Aisha’s passion for making a positive impact in her community shines through in various roles she undertakes. As a devoted mother, she exemplifies love, care, and support for her son, instilling values that inspire him to reach for the stars.

Aisha’s involvement with the non-profit organization, Jubilee Youth Service and Leadership Academy, showcases her determination to empower the youth and cultivate future leaders. As the Vice President, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s vision and strategies to bring about meaningful change.

Additionally, Aisha’s commitment to fostering growth and development is evident in her role as Chair of Outreach and Promotion at the Growth Alliance Task Force, a position she holds with the Mobile Chamber of Commerce. Through this, she actively drives initiatives that promote economic prosperity and community engagement.

But Aisha’s impact goes beyond her professional and volunteer endeavors; she is a true motivator. Her infectious positivity, inspiring words, and unwavering belief in the potential of others uplift those around her, motivating them to overcome challenges and achieve greatness.

Aisha Drake’s life is a testament to the power of compassion, leadership, and determination. Her unwavering commitment to service, both in her military career and her community roles, makes her a true role model for generations to come. Through her various endeavors, she continues to leave a lasting legacy, making the world a better place for all.

Amy Waldrop is the administrative assistant for J.Y.S.L.A. She has a family consisting of two boys, Hayden, who is 7 years old, and Nolan, who is 5. Mrs. Waldrop is responsible for homeschooling her children and has been happily married to her husband for 12 years. She values her family and friends and has a strong LOVE for the Lord, which is of utmost importance to her.

My desire to serve our community, especially the young men, has lead me to JYSLA. Being new to the Mobile area, this Organization has enriched my life with godly leaders who are living proof of the innumerable life possibilities that await our future citizens / leaders. I’m excited to be a part of this great opportunity.

My wife Mary of 37 yrs. and I are Lexington Ky. natives and high school sweethearts. We have 3 adult children : Devin, Brennan and Mackenzie, mother of our 1st Grandchild!

Jefferey Robbins

Mr. Robbins is Sales Leader with State Farm Insurance Company. He leads a team of 52 agents along the Gulf Coast of Alabama and Mississippi. His responsibilities include growing the territory, recruiting new agents, and Training and Developing agents.

Mr. Robbins earned a Master Of Science Degree in Business Management from American College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.

Mr. Robbins is a member of the American Red Cross, South Alabama Region, and serves as a Board Member and Diversity Chairman.

Teresa V. Lanier

Mrs. Lanier is a native of Prichard, AL, and a graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School in Prichard, AL. She received an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Bishop State Community College. Mrs. Lanier earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Hill College, Mobile, Alabama, in 2015. She is also the recipient of a Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader. Mrs. Lanier is an ordained minister and works with the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs as a Care Giver Support Coordinator.
Robert H. Mudd, Jr.

Board Member

Mr. Mudd is a seasoned trial attorney, licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama, including the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Mudd has more than 30 years of legal experience protecting clients’ rights in personal injury, worker’s compensation, probate litigation, and other legal matters and have tried both jury and non-jury trials. Mr. Mudd is a member of numerous legal organizations to keep abreast of the latest legal developments in his practice areas, including the Alabama Trial Lawyer’s Association, Mobile Bar Association, and the State Bar of Alabama.
