At J.Y.S.L.A., we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for elementary school-age boys (8-13 years old) and their families. With a scripture-aligned pathway, we guide young boys into authentic manhood.
We also offer a wide range of resources necessary to help cadets achieve academic, social and emotional success in order to divert them towards a more resilient direction in life.
The Early Risers: Leadership & Ranger Outdoor Adventure Camp is a high-quality and high-intensity fun 8 weeks of shared experience. All activities are designed to build leadership and teamwork skills within a structured environment.
This multi-component, boot camp-style adventure program incorporates indoor learning activities and outdoor adventures that challenge boys to build character, learn how to work together as a team and bond with their adult mentors. Boys are assigned various tasks that test their limits and lead them to discover who God created them to be.
As boys progress in the program and take on more complex and challenging adventures, they discover their place within the group. These adventures provide the motivation to bond together. In the wilderness, they experience situations where they must come together, pray and depend on God and each other to meet their needs.
Who is your son meant to be?
Inspired by generations of time-honored ideals, J.Y.S.L.A. emphasizes principles designed to help young boys achieve optimum success in their daily lives. To achieve and surpass life expectations with excellence, Lyn Lanier, Sr., developed a character-building model that he titled LifeCore: 3-16.
We lead by 3 life principles and live by 16 core values. These essential tenants are intended to help young boys establish a purposeful pathway for success in life. With LifeCore: 3-16, these young boys of today will grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
